Building links is still a viable strategy in 2016, despite what others may tell you. The difference between now and prior years is the way high-quality links are built. What used to work ten years ago will not work now, but luckily new strategies have emerged that allow this practice to live on in new and exciting ways.
Today I’m going to show you how you can earn high-quality backlinks through the use of infographics like the one you’re going to see today.
Building High-Quality Backlinks With Infographics
When you decide to start a blog, it exists in a vacuum. Until it gets indexed by Google and shows up in the rankings, odds are most people don’t know it exists. This is why link building is so important. By earning new links, you’re opening up new avenues to your content.
One of the best ways to do this in 2016 is through the use of infographics. These visuals combine useful information with an easily digestible format and colorful graphics. They are a unique method of conveying information and also hold the potential to go viral.
Most people will assume that these can only be done by experienced graphic designers, but that’s not the case. In fact, I’ve made several successful infographics using Canva, which is a completely free tool.
The basis of link building lies in high-quality content that people want to share. With an infographic, you can provide something that people are interested in sharing, and therefore providing a link back to your site.
