Good content, whether in a blog post or a social media update, encourages users to engage with your brand. If the content is good they will pause and continue to read. If it isn't, they will keep scrolling never to think of it again. Obviously, you want them to read all that content and remember your company/brand forever. That is why content is King. Below I have listed some of my favorite tips in regards to content marketing.
Share a unique perspective on the world you're trying to create: what sets you apart from your competition?
Address the problem or offer an innovative update to an old solution: you will grab your consumer faster by offering a solution to a problem.
Offer free value through your content: you can earn future customer loyalty by sharing some valuable information for free.
Longer content performs better than shorter (at least 300 words, but longer is better)
Be consistent with content updates: create a content calendar and stick with it.
Educate rather than trying to sell: Good content will indirectly sell. It will turn off your consumers if the content is loaded with sales ads.
Good content is never complicated. The writing should be an easy read and speaks to them.
Repurpose your content.
Know the voice of your brand and make sure that your content reflects it.
Constantly work on your writing skills.
Answer your consumer's questions with your content.
The broader the topic, the less it appeals to your target audience.
Who are you competing against? One up the competition.
Include amazing visuals. Use Canva to make your own or stock photos.
Make it easy to read. Paragraphs should be 2-3 sentences long. The font should be easy on the eyes. Use lists and other text breaks.
Understand and write content for YOUR audience.
Explore your own product and services as content.
Tell your brand's story. Tell them about you, where you come from, what does your company stand for?
One of the most important content marketing strategies is to watch your analytic reports. You need to check on them and measure what is working.
Write standout headlines. Use them to try to grab the attention of your potential readers.
These content marketing tips can help get you started on turning your content from good to great.
